In May of 2015 our house in Houston flooded. The water came through the wooden floors and rose so rapidly. We immediately tried to get everything off of the floor, including our three dogs. We weren’t sure how high the water would rise and began to plan on how we would get out and get our pets out safely. It was a frightening moment. But God took care of us and the waters subsided as quickly as they arose. We were displaced for three weeks as the repairs were done. It was an experience that I have never encountered before and was so blessed that there was a positive outcome. Praise God!
A few months ago I had a dream that I was in another flood. In the dream I was afraid at first but then heard the Lord whisper to me that everything would be okay. I was able to travel on the banks of the water and stay on high ground as the waters rose. The flooding in my dream was different. It was peaceful. The floods represented a river of the Holy Spirit and I felt like I was on a big hill looking over the waters and was in perfect peace and in a place of victory.
In April of 2016 our house flooded again. As the waters began to quickly rise, I cried out “Lord, not again… I can’t do this again”! We knew the drill, get everything up high until the waters subside. As before, we were forced to leave as the house again went through restoration. We were better prepared and did not lose nearly as many of our belongings. Actually, we were able to move and God provided us with a better and bigger house and He moved on our behalf. We had favor with the owner and even though many were displaced and looking for a home, he chose us to lease his home. Thank you Lord!
Last week in my quiet time with the Lord I was praising Him and thanking Him for all He had done. I thought about how it was just two months ago that we were in a different home and had endured a flood. At that moment I felt God speaking a special word for those in the Houston area.
He said the recent floods are a beginning of revival in the land. The floods were intended by the enemy to bring danger to all and to dismantle the land. But what the enemy meant for evil I will use for my good. I will use the waters to wash the land and resurrection will spring forth.
This is a turning point for those that believe. Cast off the restraints that have bound you. Repent for being stagnant and move forward. Break free from indecisiveness. Those bound will be delivered. Those sick will be healed. Depression will no longer weigh down God’s people. Let not the cares of this world keep you entangled. Seek me now and let the floods of the Holy Spirit rise around you. Rise… Rise… Rise.
The rivers will rise and flow… carrying you and those you have been praying for to a whole new level. Only believe. The tide has shifted and deliverance is here. The seas have lifted up, LORD, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves. Ps 93:3
When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.‘ Luke 11:25
